Corrective Skills Lab

Proficiency Basketball Training offers a Corrective Exercise + Basketball Performance Program designed for athletes returning from injury or managing movement limitations. This program bridges the gap between rehabilitation and full basketball participation by focusing on proper movement quality, joint stability, mobility, and muscular balance. Each athlete begins with a movement assessment to identify restrictions, asymmetries, and compensations that may increase injury risk. Training then progresses into corrective strategies that improve strength, coordination, and body control—allowing athletes to rebuild confidence and efficiency as they transition back to basketball-specific movement and skill work.

As athletes advance, corrective exercise is integrated directly into controlled basketball drills to ensure safe transfer to on-court performance. Sessions may include modified shooting, deceleration mechanics, balance training, change-of-direction progressions, and gradual plyometric exposure when appropriate. All sessions are led by Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist Corinthian Carson and are intended to complement—not replace—care provided by licensed medical professionals; medical clearance is required prior to participation. Once a package is purchased, clients will be contacted within 24 hours to schedule sessions and confirm training locations. All sessions must be completed within 30 days of purchase, unless rescheduled by the trainer. No-call, no-show sessions are non-refundable. This program is ideal for athletes seeking a structured, responsible return to play while reducing the risk of re-injury.
